Improving Competitiveness and Productivity
Envirolink Northwest aims to improve the competitiveness and productivity of the environmental technologies and services sector in Englands Northwest.
Envirolink Northwest works with regional and national partners to support the evolution of the environmental technologies and services sector in England's Northwest into a world class competitor.
At this time we are working on three fronts:
Building business-HEI relationships by working with representatives from all the higher education establishments in England's Northwest - a Lead Academics Network - to find new ways of promoting and establishing collaborative working between environmental technology and services businesses and academics in order to stimulate R&D and product innnovation and improvement.
Stimulating knowledge transfer by working with a significant proportion of the Knowledge Transfer Networks (established and funded by the DTI's Technology Programme) to promote the business benefits of business-business and business-research-establishment collaboration in knowledge transfer, R&D, product improvement and business improvement.
Improving skills training provision for the environmental technologies and services sector in England's Northwest through the Environmental Sector Skills and Productivity Alliance
Environmental Research Groups Database for the purpose being to inform stakeholders in the environmental industry and stimulate the collaboration between environmental business and academics and between academics themselves by promoting the expertise of Northwest Universities in environmental research.
