University Training Provision
Welcome to the updated version of the discover HE database developed as part of the NW Higher Level Skills Partnership project. This resource offers a free, easy to use and powerful tool for discovering the wealth of Higher Education provision in the North West. It offers a starting point to explore provision for industry sectors from various providers in one single place and will direct you to individual institutional websites to find out more details.
Discover HE has been designed to allow more effective cross working with employers and to create an effective resource for skills brokers and other intermediaries to have access to the range of HE provision offered in the region. The Discover HE database will also be available for regional partners and for direct access by employers or individual learners to find the course they are interested in.
You can use this database to:
- Find information on sector-specific courses
- Browse courses from a range of HE providers in the North West
- Look for courses in your geographical area
- Get in touch with our Specialist Advisers to ask any questions you may have
Searches can be carried out by Course Sector, Course Type, Course Mode, District and Course Supplier.
It currently includes over 7,500 courses from 15 Higher Education Institutions and 700 courses from 29 Further Education Colleges in the North West which include 26 energy related courses, 480 environmental related coursed and 254 courses related to the ETS sector alone. We expect the database to be regularly updated as new institutional data becomes available to include HE provision at all levels (HND/HNC, Foundation Degree, Honours Degree, Postgraduate Degree, CPD and short courses) currently offered in HEIs and FECs across the region.
